Executive
The Executive Committee meets before the full FoKL monthly meeting and holds general supervision over all organization activities. It includes the President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and any active committee chairs, plus the past president if they choose to stay involved.
Events
The Events Committee meets remotely and "shall be responsible for organization, publicizing, and implementing a special event (such as a Cocktail Party or a Library Fair) for library supporters."

Fundraising
The Fundraising Committee meets remotely and "shall be responsible for coordinating annual operating fund campaigns for the support of Library activities."

Newsletter
The Newsletter Committee meets remotely quarterly and "shall be responsible for the publication and distribution of a newsletter to members or to Library patrons." FoKL provides a quarterly e-newsletter "Between The Stacks" and periodically provides submissions to the Kingston Library monthly newsletter.

Recruitment (Ad-Hoc)
The Ad-Hoc Recruitment Committee meets remotely with a focus on high-value volunteers for FoKL, focused on building relationships with major donors, legal counsel, accountants, elected officials, and community leaders. Unlike standing committees tied to ongoing operations, it exists to fill strategic gaps by identifying and courting people whose skills or influence strengthen the organization's capacity.

Used Book Sale
The Used Book Sale Committee is on hiatus during library renovations. It "shall be responsible for organizing, publicizing and implementing periodic used book sales."
